help with chipping/remapping or replacing ecu

i finally finished my build yesterday and started her up for the first time, now i havn't udgraded the fuel system at all yet so its standard, when you get to 4,000 rpm the car misfires and splutters not being able to go any higher!! the car is a crx with a european D16A9 engine.

mine doesnt have a lambda sensor so was wondering if you can put one in?

also are the ecus from these cars chippable for a turbo? all the tuningcompanies in this country say you cant chip them, you can only buy a new mappablle ecu for £850-1000 then get them to install and set it up, minimum total cost of £1300-2000!!!! :'( is this true or can i get a chip and get it set up to run right???

help me please :S

also there is no lambda sensor on this car, could this be part of the problem, if so can you wire up one to this ecu??

I wouldnt doubt you fucked your motor up already. ::)

Either DIY: http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/view/...nToECUChipping

or get an ECU from Xenocron http://www.-------------

and get yourself some DSM 450cc injectors.

are there anyother injectors that fit as the eclipse wasn't ever brought into this country!!! :7

also could i install a 5th injector and get away with the standard ecu?? or put one of those cheap turbo chips off ebay in just so it knows it has a turbo bolted on (along with the 5th injector)???

Re: help with chipping/remapping or replacing ecu

I believe some RX7 injectors will fit. The ECU cannot control a 5th injector.

my advice: Find some 450cc injectors in the states and buy them.

There are a ton of injectors that you can use. Search in the FI FAQ section and there is a listing. MR2, Supra, RX7...ect have larger injectors that you can use. The sizes and everything are there.
