Probably a botched chipping job, something is shorting out.

Re: Having a problem with my ecu chipped p06
I had shanerv check it over since he chipped it and he said it looked ok.My question is can I just get a new chip kit from xeno and have shane do re chip it?

Re: Having a problem with my ecu chipped p06
What do you mean you "got a chip"?
You replaced the 28pin and then what. Check the jumper, one of them is ground for the processor/sink circuit as well, i.e. if it was touching something else with solder it would short. |

There is a ton of stuff that could have gone wrong. I have had some that look great and simply resoldering can fix things. |

He sucks.

Re: Having a problem with my ecu chipped p06
What else did you change? if you wired in resistors for the fuel injectors make sure they are not all Jewed up and shorting on the manifold or anything else.

Re: Having a problem with my ecu chipped p06
Replace the fuse...and turn the KEY ON, without the ECU plugged in. If it doesnt blow...try the same process with a STOCK ECU.
If it doesnt blow...you know its a problem with your chipped ECU. |
Re: Having a problem with my ecu chipped p06
remove j1 jumper. if ecu goes code free its a bad soldering job
