hard starting ever sence chip
 

ever sence my car has been running on a chip, it starts hard, sometimes it starts in half a crank (wierd) sometimes 5 or 6 cranks to get it started. it runs good otherwise. it did this before it was tuned, and after. it always started the normal before.

its tuned with crome

Are the symptoms consistent with anything? Re-starts, cold mornings, etc.

ive tried to find a reason but its pretty much random and happens alot. i got in it today after driving it an hour before, took 5-6 cranks, got in it that morning afer sitting all night, started 1 crank. just as an example

pretty much i drove it one day un chipped stock injectors, next day driving it chipped with dsm 450s, noticed the problem shortly after. i tested the injectors for resistence before i installed them, they were all the same, thats about as much as i know about testing injectors. it runs fine and is tuned so i dont know, they work

I have that problem sometimes. So what I do is key the car on and let it sit for about 5 seconds or untill the fuel pump stops. Then I crank the car over. It starts every time with less than one full crank. Just my .02 ;)

i always let my pump prime before i start in every honda i've owned, doesnt make a differnce with this

you might have to play with the cranking multiplier a little or the cranking table of the advanced tables.

also check your battery voltage before cranking, during cranking and after the car is running...the car needs to see at least 10 volts from the battery as the car cranks to power the coil enough to bridge the gap and fire a plug, might take your car a couple of cranks to build up to this as the alternator begins to spin...might just be a weak battery or one on its way out

could be weak battery, but it started the day it was runnin off the chip so your other suggestion is probly more likely, it sounds like it has enough power just somthing isint happening right

After my turbo D (ODB0) is warmed up the car almost starts before I turn the key it's so good. Some times I psych it out and pretend like im gonna start it and it starts, then shuts down like I didnt just hear it start up lol. You can't fool me car!!!!

i'd say battery. mine did that before i replaced it. just replaced it last year. original bettery from 95
