greddy blue box question
 

does the greddy blue box have a ceiling to it at all or will it ALWAYS be able to richen the fuel mix no matter how much boost you run??

I guess a better way to phrase my question is that if, say, I got a 3bar map sensor and cranked it up to about 15psi would the blue box still function right or would it be past it's richening ability??

I think it is only good to about 6-8 psi or so.

ok that makes no sense to me since I'm running 9psi on it and it's running rich as hell as always...which is why I been wondering mainly heh...

Are you sure it's running rich? ??? Don't push 15 psi with it. I guarentee you it won't be nice. :-\

ohhhh yeah it's running rich haha...I figured maybe it wasn't until I looked at my tailpipe...black, black, and more black. I've got quite a bit of carbon back there. Figured it might be old so I cleaned it off...and it's back again.

I'm wanting to get something else for fuel management but can't decide...right now I'm looking into the e-manage/profec-eo1 setup but can't get the info I want on it. I just want something so I'm not running SO rich and can run higher boost safer.

Wow. I thought those things weren't capable of running high boost. ???

How about Hondata? www.hondata.com has all the information you want to know about it. How much does the e-manage/profec-eo1 cost compared to Hondata?

cost isn't what matters to me...staying smog happy is what matters to me.

on my car they simply plug into the ecu and run the car to redline and check for cel's...not to mention correct obd coding.

hondata still hasn't gotten off it's ass for an obd2 ecu yet so I can't use them unless I want to completely detune my car on emissions day and hope it doesn't toss a code or something shitty like that.

the e-manage is still a piggy back unit which I can back off of without swapping components and ----...plus with the e-o1 attached I don't have to worry about getting a damn laptop and looking over to the passenger seat while driving and tuning...just use the remote and tune via the lcd display...which just so happens to fit nicely in the 99-00 radio bezel :P

I dunno yet, it'll be another few months before I get super serious about fuel management as right now I'm doing research on setups while I buy the parts for my y8...

Why not convert to OBD1? Then you could run Hondata. They check to make sure you are running OBD@ instead of OBD1? That's crazy. I'm glad I live in AZ. :P Good luck. :)
