Greddy blue box with kit
Hi, looking for sum help,
I have a Em1 99 civic si with Greedy turbo kit TD-05H 18G turbo, and i have added a intercooler+BOV to the kit Will the blue box that cum with the kit be ok to run with this set up??? or am i better off chiping a ECU and runnig on that??? |
Re: Greddy blue box with kit
Chipped ECU FTW! The blue box may run it, but there's more to be had by useing a chipped ECU.

Re: Greddy blue box with kit
It's not like your adding a new turbo or ---- like that. It's just a intercooler and a bov. ::) geesh

Re: Greddy blue box with kit
Yeah, but after you add the intercooler the air is going to be denser and your going to want more fuel to compensate, as well as add boost to compensate for the pressure loss from the intercooler.

Re: Greddy blue box with kit
the kit didn't come with any kind or BOV? wierd.
Chipped ECU would be better than the blue box, but since you're OBD2 you'll need an OBD1 Chipped ECU, and a conversion harness, and a way to tune it. Total the cost of a chipped ECU setup up and then decide if you think it's worth getting. I mean you already have the blue box right? might as well use it unless you want to spent the extra $$ to get a chipped ECU. |
