Re: Gredddy blue box
instead of chipping a stock ecu with software , the greddy blue box, and aem e-manage, completely replaces the stock ecu and are fully programmable. thats pretty much all i know, i'm sure a simple search will tell you everything.

Re: Gredddy blue box
I'm pretty sure both the Blue Box and Emanage are made by Greddy, not AEM.
Blue Box is pre-programmed for a specific setup and the Emanage is 'tunable' from what I know. |
Re: Gredddy blue box
And they don't replace the ecu..they're piggy backs.
AEM makes the AEM EMS standalone... |
Re: Gredddy blue box
The bluebox just reads the voltage from the map sensor for boost and pumps in more fuel(basically just puts the injectors into openloop). I've used it on two kits and never had a problem with it on smaller kits using rhb5's and can only use the stock 240's. I believe the DOHC greddy bluebox is made to use 310cc injectors but dont quote me on that. If your not into chipping and just something to get your car running then just pick up one. It's not tuneable so thats the only downfall. I've gone up to 14 psi on one and never had a problem but like i said that was with a small ass turbo so if your looking to use a t3/t4 then look at the emanage or chipping your ecu.

Re: Gredddy blue box
yep, the blue box is simply a pre programmed piggy back, it does not replace the ecu, rather works with the stock ecu, no tuneability, but for a smaller turbo at low boost, 7-8 psi max, it will work fine, way better than an fmu....
