Re:good management?
Do you already have a chipped ECU and a burner? Wideband?

Re:good management?
What boost level are you planning on running? If over 9 psi you will need a 2 bar map sensor.

Re:good management?
The limit of the stock MAP is around ~10, but if you're running over that you just richen up the last columns in the fuel maps to adjust.

Re:good management?
Yep, I ran 13psi on my stock MAP sensor. I wont claim it is the smartest thing in the world to do and I wouldnt recommend it if you dont have a wideband installed when you do it...but it is possible.
88HF-T, I you need your ECU chipped for TurboEdit, Im your man 8) Good luck! |
Re:good management?
Smartest thing to do? Running out of the MAP sensor range is downright stupid.

If you understand how the ECU works and how to tune a motor, the only thing you have to worry about is blowing out the MAP diaphragm and even then I dont think your engine will blow-up if that happens. |
Re:good management?

Re:good management?
i have a 89HF could i run uberdata or turbo edit on my current ecu or would that we pointless? does UD or TE even support HF ecus?
|
Re:good management?
What ECU is in the HF? Its a PM8 or something right?
Well, its supported for any OBD0 ECU (cept PR3/PW0) but chipping that HF ECU is another story. Best bet is to find a PM6 ECU with an external eprom and chip that and run TurboEdit. |
