Going from Uber to TE
I have been running and tuning Uberdata for a while now.. Tuned and chipped a buch of a friends cars, but a guy contacted me about chipped and tuning a car with obd0, so i was looking at chrome and turboedit. Turboedit looks to be the one i would lean to. I see the chipping kit, is only a riser, zif socket and eprom. So i can chip that no problem. Now, i havent had the chance to download the software, i am at work, and they block it. Am, i able to use the moates burner, to put a tuboedit map onto an eprom??
the car is a crx with a stock b16. Ill jsut look for a map on the bin deposit site. any other info, tips, or site i can go to to learn a little more?? thanks |
Re: Going from Uber to TE
Just a heads up, Crome is obd-1 and superior to Uberdata from what I gather. I'd say BRE is your best bet with a b16 obd-0 car.

Re: Going from Uber to TE
if you used the moates burner already you dont need to know if it would burn a proggy written in turboedit.

Re: Going from Uber to TE
if you use turboedit with a pm6 ecu, i have a good map for stock b16a with .48/.60 60 trim t3 boosting 8-10 psi with dsm 450cc injectors, although using bre with a pw0/pr3 does seem more logical these days, damnit why wasnt there obd0 vtec boost code when i built my car... :(

Re: Going from Uber to TE
If boosted b16's map isn't ideal for your setup, you could make your own:
http://www.-------------/te.php?page=TEvtec However, I've been told this method is a hack. The lack of resolution in the upper rpm range may result in your engine getting less than ideal fuel n spark in a high load situation. |
