Ghettodyne and Launch Control...

How does this work? Would i have to be launching from 3000 rpm everywhere? my car is a daily driver

unless i'm mistaken, it reads from the VSS and cuts back on the amount of fuel until the VSS reading is up to where it should be. basically, it cuts your fuel to stop your tires from spinning, then goes back to a normal map. this is, at least, how it was describe to me. so unless you spin your tires everytime you start, it won't have any effect on a daily driver.

Re:Ghettodyne and Launch Control...

Just for clarification, the launch control limits your revlimit based on VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) located in the back of the instrument cluster as turbowagon stated. If you are traveling under ~5 MPH your revlimiter is restricted to what ever value you put in there. Once you start moving over ~5 MPH then it reverts to the normal revlimiter. This is so you can get a nice launch without having to watch the tach, etc, etc. Just floor it and pop the clutch ;D

This will not affect normal day to day driving at all since you start out at a much lower RPM than the launch setting would typically be.

Yellow and Red. Third wire in on the bottom row of the middle connector.
