Still kickin'. Who would have thought I'd still be working on this program over two years since I actually owned a Honda??? Retorical question...nevermind.

Well, I never ever ever in my wildest dreams thought it would make it this far, but it has which means a total code re-write is desperately needed! There are currently over 4 THOUSAND lines of code in GhettoDyne and it is getting quite difficult to sort through to add more funtionality...especially after a beer or 8.

This means that I am re-writing the entire program from the ground up to include lots of modules for the various routines, etc. It is much easier to add functionality this way. New features include, but are not limited to:

re-curve to 450cc injectors whether the ROM is boosted or not (please thank Chris Favreau for this!), auto-discovery of fuel multipliers (yes it is true), with a user configurable option to change said multipliers. Upon saving a new routine will automagically set the multipliers based on the values you entered to save you the trouble of figuring out what the !@#$ a multiplier is. If you already know then more power to ya, you can disable this feature if you think you are smarter than me Dave and DohcVtec have also been testing a VTEC ROM that means that with a few hardware mods you can run a VTEC engine with a PM6/7 ECU...woo hoo! Dave is doing a hell of a job writing the code for this! Dave is also the curator of PGMFI.org...hell of a guy. A5less code is also tested and should be in the next release meaning that you can chip an 88-89 PM6 or PROMless PM7 and maybe PM8 (HF ECU)'s...we'll see.

New boost code is also in the works but the re-write has taken precidence as it was getting a little out of hand. There are several theories being tested to provide you with the best solution possible (for FREE I might add...)

Dave and the PGMFI crew have been simply amazing through all of this and in-car updates are being tested as well by other PGMFI members (so I hear).

later,

Mike

OMG! VTEC w/ pm6? (properly).

in other words and obd0 vtec ecu w/o wiring changes other then a vtec wire!? kick ass!

Yup, it is coming slowly but surely. The codebase for GhettoDyne is getting quite complicated, and I've been spending an unhealthy amount of time lately working on it. Believe it or not, the fuel multipliers have given me the most grief so far! It is easy to change them, but very hard to ensure that whatever you change them too is within certain mathematical parameters that won't trash the lookup routine (error handling). anyways, it will be here eventually :)

Mike,

will hi/lo cam profiles have seperate fuel tables?

thanks alot guys!! i cant check up on ghettodyne.com because my computer throws up a degub error everytime i try to click on a link on there main page. those guys at ghettodyne are awsome, spending all of this time on a program that is free!!
thanks again

PM6 doesn't have high and low cam profiles. You're forgetting PM6 only has two maps: one fuel, one ignition. What's going to happen is VTec will be activated at a set RPM. Since it's not oil pressure, speed, or throttle dependent, it will activate whenever condition gets you to that crossover RPM. Thusly, you'll need to have VTec tuned maps always above that particular RPM. Otherwise, you'll have a leaning condition.

Clarification example: If you have crossover set at 4700rpms. You tune your motor for non-VTec below 4700, and above 4700 you tune for VTec, all on the same map. Very simple.

I have been watching my my vac gauge on my zc turbo and I have noticed several hiccups. one 0-3 another 8-13 the other is like 20-23 I really need to datalog but i havent ordered the max adapter to put in yet. I hope to next month have it setup and get a burner so I can do chips. This feels to me to be fuel.

Yah I get that... just take the two stock b16 fuel maps cross em over where u want your vtec point. :)

is that what Zdyne does?

I'm not sure, I've never owned a Zdyne ECU.

I believe there are base maps floating around, might check those out.
