getting tuned
 
well my plx 300m should be here today and i plan on getting my ---- tuned tuned asap, i just need some advice on how to go about it, my original plan was to drive and watch the display and target specific areas of the map, then come home and re burn everytime...thats gonna take to long....my plx wideband doesnt have datalogging ability, theres no way for me to datalog with ecu controll and get afr's on it is there? if not my new plan is to take the burner and my laptop with me so i can reburn in the car and save a little time.....it would be great if i could datalog with afr's some how, but is there anyway for me to do that????

What are you using for fuel management? If your running Uberdata you'd be best off dataloging with that.

turboedit.....but what i dont understand about datalogging from the ecu with ecu controll, is how do you log the afr's? with out them its useless to datalog....

If you disable O2 all the time, the ecu will continue to receive and store O2 information, but it does nothing with it.

You can run the wideband analog output from the PLX directly into the narrowband line on the ecu and datalog it like you would normally; one exception is that something about the hardware keeps the ecu from reading leaner than a 17:1-ish afr.

OBD1 is exactly the same.. 17.68:1 to be exact..

OBD1 is hardware limited so it can't read over 3.8 volts coming in on the O2 pin. Depending on widebands, your limit varies. With my TE 2A0 rev3's, 16.8:1... with a Motec, you can fiddle the Motec to put out whatever voltage you want at any AFR - very groovy if very expensive piece of equipment.
