Fun with Checksums again :)
 

Okay, I made some changes to a pr3 bin. I checked it w/ Check8 and it comes out ok. Put it in and get rewarded with a lofty 3k limit :P Checksum no worky.... :-[

I loaded the original unmodified pr3 bin and the car runs fine.
