Full throttle launch/shift what needs to be where for it to work?

I have an obd0 ps9 converted to a pm6 (desoldered the resistors) and a 90 civic si with an M/T.
I want to impliment FTL/FTS but i'm not 100% sure what hardware needs to be installed to get it working.

I was under the impression that turning on/off the a/c switch (my car has had the a/c removed) would toggle it, but it seems that whenever i have ftl/fts enabled in the rom it's on all the time regaurdless of a/c switch position. Also what about a clutch switch? my car has one but it did not come with cruise control so someone care to explain that?

OBD0? ...your VSS. That's it.

It's speed based, not clutch switch based.

hmmm ----..........

didnt know my car had a vss. I thought the non-cruise control cars didnt have a VSS.
where would it be and how would one check it?
I guess just go out and drive around.

The VSS is on the tranny. It should be facing up and have a plug coming off it. Does your speedo work?

what the hell does it mean when the speedo ready an rpm higher than what it really is.

like when i redline the speedo gets at 8000 way faster than the engine does and it also gets stuck there sometimes. its also very loose and u can see it

Your VSS is in your gauge dash rather than directly on the tranny like OBD1. YOu have a cable that runs from your tranny to your dash, and that is where the sensor is. On OBD1, the sensor is mounted directly onto the tranny, and runs to the dash.

cool;

i feel kinda stupid; right after i posted my last post i threw in the last rom i burned when i forgot to disable FTL and of course over 8mph it worked great :)

but what about full throttle shift? that didnt seem to work. Is that feature even in the pgmfi ng4 rom?
if it is how would one activate it?

No.. there is no full throttle shift..

However, you could just use your hot revlimit as the cut for FTS.
