Fuel system for turbo
 

how you doing out there!
let me get to the pint!
i tryi to run a turbo in my honda civic ex engine 1.6 vtec
the fuel management system im not familiar with! so many said i have to change a lotof things to run the turbo
can i run a t25 milsubishi
with
an AEM fuel raling
AEM fuel regulator upto 100psi!
venom injectors
a holley fuel pump 190

they said that for every pound of boost you can add 12 psi of gasoline!
so if im runing 8psi to my engine iwth the same internals this will be safe i belive i can boost the gas presure to 96psi!??

coudl i do this or do i need to add soemthing esle
people talk about sonata hondata ecus and things that i really dont know but im glad i foudn this forum so i cna lear form you fine people!

at the minimum, you could run an FMU. that raises the fuel pressure according the the boost it receives.

cranking that aem fuel regulator is gonna give you too much gas when you don't need it.

if you have a 92-95, you could chip your ecu and run uberdata.

well its true if i raise the eam i will be runing to rich all the time!
so i need to take the regulatro and put an FMU they go for at least 10 or if you would help me chip hte ecu like you said!

I get the feeling English isn't his primary language...

But hands down the best way to go is to chip your ECU and add larger injectors.

For OBD-0 people use Turboedit, for OBD-1 people use Uberdata or Crome. Only certain ECU's can be chipped and if you don't know what you're doing it's better to either get to know what you're doing or have somebody else do it.

chipping the ECU looks very difficult. I have read the links, but i did not understand anything, that is why i tryed to ask to see if anyone could explain it in plain english. Since, some people think english is not my primary language does anyone have pictures or diagrams showing me how to chip my ecu?
DO I REALLY NEED TO DO THIS IF IM ONLY TRYING TO GO 8PSI?
would FMI be a cheap and safe way to go 8psi?

if you don't want to do anything electronic, then buy a Vortech FMU and a check valve (missing link) and you'll be good to go. Don't go over 7-8 psi though.

8 psi will give me around an additional 80hp?

being that my engine right now is giving me about 120 (d16 95ex engine on it) plus 80hp will be running around 200hp?
or how does it work??

8 psi will give you closer to 60 hp, depending on the turbo you're using, and that's at the crank... not at the wheels, where it matters. If we're talking about the wheels, then you're probably closer to 105hp. With 8psi, you'll be around 150-160 i'd say. Maybe more, but not likely. Good tuning can get you some additional power, but you can't tune that setup to it's full potential using that kind of fuel management. You can run turbo and not blow up your engine using an FMU and a Missing Link, but to take full advantage of the turbo setup you'll need to stop being lazy and learn about how to chip your ecu or buy standalone engine management.
