Hmmm, would the 255lph-HP in-tank unit be bad also?
think about it a stock fuel pump is 190lph, liters per hour, and a 255lph walbro is 65lph more than stock. i personally have a walbro. its been in my car for about a year. im on 8-10lbs stock z6 with uberdata and 450's in a 91 hb converted to obd1. my car runs really good for what it is and what i have in it. no the walbro isnt a bad thing, if it was bad everybody wouldnt run them. my .02
Yes, I know that Walbro makes a nice fuel pump and tons of people are using them, BUT the question I was asking was referring to CSAddict saying that having a HIGH VOLUME IN-TANK pump is better than having a HIGH PRESSURE IN-LINE pump. I was wondering if having a HIGH PRESSURE IN-TANK pump would a bad way to go? Which pump do you have? The GSS315 or the GSS341?

HP in my opinion is not a great idea on a mild setup. Seems that when you throw a HP pump on a stock setup with a stock regulator, its throws the pressure in the rail up to about 55psi which will have to be taken into account when setting up the basemap and tuning unless you buy a FPR to turn down the pressure in the rail to a 'normal' level.

high pressure is different then high volume. 255 is high volume and probably high pressure

I've got the gss341 in my car(255 lph HP). Like xenocron said though it may increase the fuel pressure over stock unless you have an aftermarket fpr or drill out the fuel return oriface on the stock one. I did not have any increase in pressure, but I already had an aem regulator installed.

i have a similiar question. i'm building my turbo setup right now and i am a complete newb to FI setups. but i don't know if i should get a 255 fuel pump or not. i can't even tell the difference between an inline and an intank. but my cousin with a turbo ls said i might as well get one. i'll be boosting a b18c1 around 7psi daily and probably 10psi at the track. i already have a vafc2, so i thought i would run that for fuel management along with an FMU. i know it's not the best setup, but it'll work to get me started at least. i was wondering what kind of fuel pump i should run and what ratio fmu. i'll probably be using stock injectors and stock fpr.

I am no turbo genuis, but i would say with that set up you will need the high flow fuel pump like a 255lph. Your b18c1 is capable of useing a lot of fuel. But i think you should sell your vafc2 and run uberdata and larger injector. fmus you have a bad reputation.
