Fuel pressure tuning. Aeromotive FMU
 

I was tuning when i had the supercharger by adjusting voltage to the inline fuel pump with reisistors and changing the fuel plate on the FMU. It was working pretty well for me but I wanted some more adjustability. With 24# injectors I was getting 11:1 Afr but it was bouncing rich alot. I know the best way would be to get a full standalone and do some real tuning. But Im going a different approach.

Aeromotive digital FMU. You use this in conjuction with a inline fuel pump. You set the max boost pressure, and move the dials on the unit to where you want the pressure to be at a certain psi level. Ive played with one before on a moostang but didnt get too in depth with it.

Anyone have some good success stories with this? Or bad?

Well thank you for the useless post and waste of bandwidth, but.....

Its going on a dodge Dakota. With speed density, factory computers runs on set parameters during WOT.

For the price of the digital FMU, you could buy a megasquirt kit.

switch to a 4bbl intake, add a dominator 750, throw on a tophat, and run a 1:1 fmu.

All I asked was if anyone has ever used one, and had any results. What would me having a Dakota have anything to do with anyone else's experience? I like when people try to be tough on the internet, there, I gave you the attention you wanted. Thank you, have a nice day.

Listen fuckstick....when you ask for HELP or OPINIONS, be prepared to get them, from all angles. And usually it helps when you give ALL of the pertinent information someone would need to give you an EDUCATED response...

There have been TONS of people that use FMUs and Fuel Pressure Regulators for years...they work, to a point IF you know what you are doing.

But it comes down to using the BEST tools out there if you have the budget and the skill to use those tools...if this were a HONDA, then everyone here would tell you to quit futzing with FMUs and run a chipped ECU...since you arent, you probably wont get a whole lot of good experienced based results from posting a question like this...but good luck.
