Fuel Management

I have an 87 crx Si, and since there is no ecu programs available for me i was wondering what i should use for fuel management. Im planning on running 5-6 psi on stock engine. I have the kit basically finished and i am just waiting on the fuel management to be finished before i fire it up. I was thinking either an FMU or talon injectors with the trailerpark hack. Can anyone tell me which one of these would be better for me?

There was talk on D-series.org about how to switch to PM6 ECU with a non-vacuum advanced ECU... seek and destroy.

You'll have far greater potential if you invest the time and effort into the conversion.

I don't know if the hack would work with that year, but you could try 450cc injectors (dsm or turbo talon i guess) with a S-afc or V-afc (depending if you want a vtec controller if you use vtec) I would work pretty good with 5-6 psi

research would be a good thing for engine management, lots of knowledge out there, read up!

always nice to here about 1g's... keep it up!

There's probably a write up on the d16 swap out of an integra somewhere. I'm sure if you can find this, the wiring procedures for the dohc integra engine swap in a 1g are probably close to the same as wiring in a pm6 ecu. Once you do that it's pretty much plug and play; so that would probably be your first search, finding that write up.

good luck.

googled this : http://home.wideopenwest.com/~tschmidt/d16a1swap1.html

the 86-87 interga ecus have vac advance, 88-89 don't so that's what you want; I think you'll need an 88-89 distributor to go with it which may need modification to run on the stock crx motor.

Re:Fuel Management

The hack works awesome on the 1st gen
I used a trailor park hack with 450's...no ignition advancing etc...
was boosting 7 psi daily...hit an occasional 12 psi on my 1st gen ZC.

Re:Fuel Management

were you boosting a d15 motor or just the zc?

doofnoil - have you ever heard of anyone using the 88-89 integra ecu in a 1st gen crx?

Was boosting a ZC...here the CRX's come with ZC
But i did boost my D15 in my EG with the trailor park hack....it ran fine.
