Friggin' resistor pack...

Hey guy's I got a question for anyone who might know the answer. Or anyone who doesn't, I don't care! I bought some dsm 450 blue tops and a honda resistor pack off someone and the "resistor pack" he gave me has 7 wires coming off it. 6 black and 1 red. Does that sound normal??? I know how to wire it up and all, but I thought they usually had 5 wires. I'm not sure what honda it came off of, but I'm starting to wonder if it's even a resistor pack!!! ::)

Hrm, does it look like a resistor pack?

The wire colors and count are off... I'm suspecting you got a V6 resistor pack, if there is such a thing. Sit down with a DVOM (digital volt-ohm meter) and test for the resistance across the wires. You might be able to use it, just ignore two of the wires.

Thats cool. I'll check out the resistance and see if I can still use it. Thanks for the help guys. The guy I bought the injectors from was supposed to get them for me 2 weeks ago, but never did, and when I asked him about it he said "I'll go out and get them tomorrow". He probably just picked up an resistor pack he could find. At least he got the 450's correct!!! Thanks again. :)
