Fried PM6?

Ok, i have a 91 PM6 that i picked up that i was going to chip with TE. Now my problem is, I hooked up the ecu to check if it was ok, and it popped a code for the crank angle sensor, and also wouldn't let me rev the engine past 3500. I switched the two wires that affect that particular sensor in hopes of maybe they were backwards, but it still did the same as before. I also tried the same thing on my friend's car, and of course...same code. Is my ecu shot, and along with it my hopes of using TE?

sounds like the circuit for that sensor is broken. might be an easy solder away to fix it.

did you switch the wires back when you tested it on the other car?

Yeah, the wiring was switched around about 3 times to make sure every angle was covered and it wasn't something stupid, but it still would only rev up to about 3500 and cut out.

open it up and check to see if any of the traces are scratched/broken, or any of the legs from the plug headers onto the pcb are broken/shorted.
