Fried ECU?

Sorry its long. (thats what she said)
Well this may sound like a newbie question but oh well. Today we put in uberdata in my car. Its for a p28 ecu and we did it wrong. Last night we put the eprom in it thinking that was all we had to do. So I drive around the block and it seems fine. Drive ok and stuff. Well the next day I drive it to the exhaust shop and it just dies at every corner when I stop. Then I get it back and it has to go all the way accoss town and it is driving real bad. Won't drive unless it has a little boost. Its super rich. Well I get it to the dyno and we figure out the we are suppose to have resistors and the other little chip in there with the jumper wire and all that stuff. Well we put it in there and it ends up still running rich and the engine light will blink once and the go solid everytime I start it up. Is this bad? I think it means death to the ecu. Plus on uberdata is there a way to comleatly turn off the o2 sensor and not just the heater. Thanks guys.
