Ford tuning
Are there any Ford people on here? If so, and this is especially for the Focus crowd if there's more than two of us (fat chance), what do you use for tuning? Is there anything less expensive than a goddamn $300 SCT chip?

Re: Ford tuning
Actually, that is only for the chip. They don't even want to sell you just the chip anymore. The cheapest it could be done is $550 from a shop in Columbus, which means 2 hours of driving for me. And when I'm trying to make this whole thing for under $500 (more realistically under $700), I have to find a way to make the most expensive part much less expensive.

Re: Ford tuning
When your starting from nothing and have no friends to borrow things from it's hard to get a cheap well done turbo setup put together. With my accord kit I spent around 2g's alot of that was a laptop an lm-1 and a chip burner. Not to mention mistakes I made in buying the wrong things and then having to resale at a loss.
You can chip and tune a lot of ford ecu's go to moates.net" they sell all the tools your going to need" and look into it. Send Them an email and ask Craig if he'll point you to some ford websites with info on tuning.
I need to do this. I really want to learn how to tune as many differant makes as possible. Honda kids seem to be the flackyest bunch of ricers you'll come acrossed. It's probably just people in general and not just honda kids.
