FMU question

I want to use an FMU for now on my turbo setup but I am wondering about the injectors. I am going to be running 5-6 pounds of boost on a f22a1 engine with a td04 turbo and I read in the faq section that stock injectors are used in this low boost range with the FMU, but I have some 390cc dsm injectors that I could install.

should I use the stock injectors or install the dsm's on this setup?

Re: FMU question

the largest injectors you can run in a stock ecu are 310.'s and yes youll be runing rich when you dont have to. just run the fmu with your stock injectors or get an afc or uberdata

read the faq

Re: FMU question

spend the extra money buy biger injectors and do the afc hack............or then again you can run a fmu then tell us about how your car blew up dont forget to take pics of the carnage

Re: FMU question

IMO the hack is just as bad as the FMU!

IMO, you are wrong. Retard the timing a few degrees at the dizzy, run as much boost as you can/the smallest injectors you can get away with, maybe some water injection, and you stand a better chance of the engine lasting.

Don't run the hack, don't run the FMU, chip the ECU. Do it right the first time.

Re: FMU question

some people (the neon/turbo 420a community) run larger injectors along with an fmu that can control both base pressure and rate of increase. Ive actually seen it work well in these applications but still dont like the idea
