can anybody here show me a diagram with piks on how to install a vortech fmu!!??...tryed searching already

Honestly man... For the price of an FMU, you can use AFC hack, or what not. Personally, I'm a toyota guy so I went with Megasquirt, only cost me 160.

have any of u guys ever had a fmu blow up ur motor? if so at what psi where u running? what fuel where u running? what was ur timming set at?

with an FMU i wouldnt go pass 7 or 8 psi. I was always

told that. Im running Uberdata, so i dont have to

worry.

it's less about the amount of boost your running and more about the fuel pressure you run... 11:1 FMU + 8psi = 88 fuel psi... 12psi = 132 fuel psi... thats just INSANE

as you increase the pressure of the system your pump flows less, you also at some point won't acculy get any more fuel out of the injectors...

there are ways around the insane fuel pressures... namely installing larger injectors and then with the static FRP drop down the pressure to the line so its getting a similar amount of fuel as it was before w/ the smaller injectors at the higher pressure... with doing this you can drop the rate of the FMU... it's old school... the neon guys love this method for some reason...

but why bother when you have so many inexpensive options at hand like mentioned before...

not saying an FMU and decent boost can't be done... i'm just saying there are easier ways to get at it (static FPR = 100$ + larger injectors (cleaned) $100 (will prob need this w/ the other methods also though) and then the FMU which can range from 50 to $450 depending on what you get that gets you a megasquirt n jolt system easily :)... or the AFC hack or... or... or...
