FMU choice? help me out

i've started buying some stuff for my turbo project that i'm going to complete in about 3-4 months. My car is 99 EJ9 Civic with d14z2 engine... i'm going fo 6-7 psi and planning on using FMU becuase i'm in low boost range and can't afford better fm. My question is which fmu to buy i think vortech is good but should i use a 12:1 or 10:1 and why? what does the ratios stand for
thanks for any help

A 12:1 fmu will increase fuel pressure by 12 psi for every 1 psi of boost. Most people use the 12:1. I wouldn't go above 5 psi with an fmu but you may be lucky. Of course I have to tell you the usual that everyone here tells everyone that is thinking of using an fmu:
Chip your ecu and run uberdata, get larger injectors. Your engine can run more boost and be much safer than an fmu, and it doesn't cost much more.

edit: and convert to obd1. Ok just use the fmu and don't boost much.

i know all about it but i live in turkey and parts are very expensive here converting to obd1 can cost me half the money i'll spend on all turbo and parts

let me ask it this way could a 12:1 fmu make the fuel too much rich... i don't want to blow the engine but i don't want to run too high rich

fmu's are gonna run a setup rich but they work on mild appilcations. get the 12.1 and dont forget to upgrade your fuel pump stock pumps dont flow enough to support the fmus pressure needs
