FMU?

Hi. I have a D15b7 That I an putting a IHI RHB5 in @ 7psi.
I dont know much about turboing and dont have a super lot of money so I was going to go with a FMU. What size should I use? The car is a 94 civic dx stock with 25,000 miles on it. I am going to get bigger injectors. Thanks

I say never use an FMU, it's a shitty way of blowing your engine up.

I don't think you posted this in the right forum, should be on management, but to give you a quick answer;

The FMU will work ok at low Psi. It's what they use in some of the Turbo Kits and Supercharger kits. Now My experience with it wasn't great. The car never ran confortably, had an rough idle, it was just terrible. After that I went with the hack & 450's.

You don't need bigger injectors with an FMU, your stock ones will work fine. I used a 12:1 FMU from vortech.

If you have one already, go ahead and use it, If not I would recommend to save a little more, then get a used AFC and 450's from ebay. You might spend a litle more, but you will not regret it.

Get your ecu chipped, and get bigger injectors. In the end, you will end up spending about as much as the FMU.

blue top injectors will cost roughly $50 from here, and to have your ecu chipped, you are looking at around another $50, you can find someone on this forum to do it for you, possibly local, and then they can tune it to a "t" with a sexy wideband. This is what I would consider doing. much more safe, and much more reliable.

^^^ Listen to the man! Plus you need a bigger/higher presure fuel pump if you run the fmu, so you would invest about the same cash but have a piece of ----. ;)
