Re: flash eprom in a p28
Yea you can use a flash eporm, but you'll have to remove it every time you want to reprogram it just the same as any other chip you stick in there. The only way to program it without removing anything from the ecu is with an ostrich. Is that what you were asking?

Re: flash eprom in a p28
i guess i am, well from what i understood from the vendor a flash eprom could be rewritten on the fly as in the car driving just plug in a laptop and adjust timing, but i wasnt aware that ostrich was a hardware device i thought it was another rom editor well i guess im going to look it up, how much will it run me and will i still need a burner thanks again im probably going with uberdata/crome just trying to see if there is a better way

best suggestion these days is the ostrich, available at any ------------- store. lucky for you there's only one and its easy to find. other ones are the rtp boards, romulator...but easiest and most common, go for the ostrich. |

And yes, you will want a chip burner even if you do have the ostrich. Unless you want to keep your ostrich in the car all the time, which most people don't.
