Finally starting to get everything together, Could I get a hand?
Long story short, There are NO dynos within 80 miles of me, And the only 'performance' oriented places in my town are for Diesel trucks.
I am boosting my B18B1 powered 92 CX Hatch. T3/T4e .48/60 Egay turbo Intercooler/IC piping (all 2.5 inch) DSM BOV Possibly a Delta wastegate AEM UEGO Wideband T3 mani Walbro 255lph pump B+M FPR other assorted stuffs I'm picking up a Burn1, and getting my ECU chipped, what else do I need for management, or is that really about it? (I still need injectors too) |
Re: Finally starting to get everything together, Could I get a hand?
Well when you say management do you mean to tune it?
Because you could get away with having only a burner if your tuner has everything else, but honestly I would invest in a wideband regardless of whether or not you tune it yourself. But I also believe in pyrometers. |
Re: Finally starting to get everything together, Could I get a hand?
where are you located?
|
Re: Finally starting to get everything together, Could I get a hand?
Resistor box for the injectors.
P.S. there is some 2nd gen DSM 450's on D-series.org for $45. |

I'm not in that big of a rush for it, I'm sure a set will pop up here for $50 sooner or later. There are a set of Evo8 560cc injectors for 140obo on a local board, is that a decent price for those? do they need a resistor box as well? |
Re: Finally starting to get everything together, Could I get a hand?
i dont know about the resistor box, but i couldnt pay more than $100 for any OEM injectors.

It's only 65 posts to buy/sell there. That forum makes my ------- head hurt but sometimes you can find a decent deal.

D-series.org has some very VERY nasty people I've noticed (if you ask a question that was answered, once, ever, back in 1999, as a single post in a thread, they will tear you a new ass for not finding it) |

According to your zip code, there are TWENTY Dynojets within 80 miles of you.

within 80 miles there is Whip-Factory, AMS, One-Six, Performance Works, and plenty more I'm sure, I just kinda threw up "80 miles" They are all about 50-100 from me, thats still a hell of a drive to me. "there are no IMPORT tuners in my area" would have been a better thing to say. |
Re: Finally starting to get everything together, Could I get a hand?
have you calld any of them to see if they know of anyone to tune it for you. and fifty miles is not far i only have 1 within 100miles. that sucks the only thing i get is a street tune

50-100 miles, wow thats not far. I drive 70 miles one way at least 4 times a week to get a chance to work (learn) in a dyno shop (part time job). It a great time for me to get my gas milage up. Im at 35, not bad for a b16a2 turboed and i end up hitting boost a couple times during that tank of gas, its so hard not too.
