few questions to get me started with tuning

hi,

i've got a few questions to get me started with tuning.

using: zeitronix wideband, pm6 ecu, stock D16Z5 (normally pm7 ecu), turboedit, intercooler, bov, td04 turbo, 450cc injectors, 95-98 oct fuel.

1) about the basemap...using the basemapper on the xenocron page, what does "tweak factor" mean...what does it ?
2) about the basemap: Should the ign maps be the same in vaccuum als a stock map ?
3) what is a nice ign retard to begin...safe not not too conservative. using 95 oct gas?

thanks,
Roy

dont know about the basemapper program, but when you use a step retard for ign timing, it only changes the boost section of the ign tables.

and just run a conservative timing, .8/psi is safe for a linear retard imo
