My first p28 had that. As was said.. makes sense since it is the factory update port.

Closest thing I have seen to that was one with a socket, obviously aftermarket. Had a chip in it, but the jumper was not present so pointless I guess.

i've seen quite a few of them, mostly pr4's, but i've seen a few p06's also. you think honda outlined that area just for us to chip our ecu's? and yes, i've had people send me their ecu to "chip with uberdata" and it's already socketed with like a mugen chip or something. what does this mean for me? 2 minutes worth of work and a free mugen chip

I have seen quite a few as well. A few AUTO P28s had them, and I believe they are all the very early production boards. I would rather the stupid chips not be there. They are more of a pain in the *** to get out.
