Extra map sensor to SAFC
 

Has anyone here tried this....Use an extra map sensor(3wire), hook it up to power, and use the 3rd wire to go to the throttle voltage on the SAFC. By doing this you should be able set it up so you add fuel only when you are boosting. Sounds like it would work, anybody know? I was gonna try it but I don't want to buy another map sensor without checking if someone else has had any experience.

Can't you just plug the MAp wire to both the map signal and the throtle voltage.
I know what you trying to do
you want to have fuel/Boost responsive and not RPM/responsive.
Once ive seen a how to on how to wire the all ---- up.
Iam not sure, but try to split it into two and wire it into both map and throtle. should work :P

No, that's not what I'm saying...I'm saying to use ANOTHER map sensor, and to hook only the extra map sensor to the SAFC throtle wire. If it works corectly, it doesn't matter if the SAFC has the info from the throttle at all. For that matter it shouldn't matter if it has RPMS ether. It should just add extra fuel when the voltage goes above a certain level...i.e. when the engine goes from vac. to pressure. Does this make sense?

i understand what you are saying, and yeah it would probably work. all you want to do is use boost/no-boost instead of high throttle/low throttle. you'd just have to find out the voltage scale for the TPS wire that the AFC normally uses, and set the afc's high/low throttle for the voltage that would be + pressure on the AFC. I'm not sure why youd do that unless you were trying not to run 450's but to each his own, do it if you want.

I've accually got some wierd size injectors (317cc)...I'm just tring it to make the car more street friendly, and because no-one else has tried it. I'm tring to set it up so it only adds fuel when it boosting, and just runs like stock when not in the boost. I'll let you know if it's worth doing or not. Hopefully it'll do what I want. ;D

i'm sure it will, just make sure you get the voltages right, otherwise you could ---- some things up. let us know.
