erased map, now cant make car idle.

ok, heres my dilema. i erased my map on my ostrich on accident trying to make it work.
it was a basemap that i made with xenos basemap helper. only thing i changed on the map was the fuel values. never touched the timing. car idled fine at 1000 rpm +/- 50. never lopey or anything. now i made a new basemap. start car. wont idle, jumps around 500-750 range or just falls flat on its face. car has no IACV, FITV or dashpot diaphram. adjust idle screw does nothing pretty much. just runs shittier. i went to play with my timing a little on the dizzy (i didnt set the timing my uncles shop did. they had mentioned that they had it maxed out one way or the other not sure which) dizzy only held on by one bolt. (gonna call my uncle and give him an earfull) anyways, to my question, being as i have low compression, could my timing be to retarded and thats causing my problem? plugs are black, but my car always ran a little rich before so i dont know if its just old carbon. im ------- stumped and hate this ----. setup is as follows. d16a6 76mm bore vitaras and h-beams stock head y8 cometic HG dsm 450s a6 wheeze intake b18 throttle body egay blurr mani t3 60 trim .48/.60 pr4 ecu turboedit map (attached) |
Re: erased map, now cant make car idle.
I always try to match my ignition table with actual timing. I set the hole table to 16 hop out of the car gat my timing light out and make sure im at 16. Makes life a little easier. If it is not matches 16=19 or 16=4 hell it could be anywhere. Maxed out either way is bad. I usually se distributors in the middle. Or I could be dick for help :D
