Enough screwing around, lets do this right.

For those who haven't looked at my posts and thought "stupid noob" I'll explain shortly what is going on. Girlfriend's car is a 89 Crx, her ex hooked most of the turbo up, found out we were dating, then dropped the project in the middle and refuses to tell us what is left. I've got the car up and running, but thanks to his great wiring skills the AFC is shot (and the clutch spins the starter without a key-moron). Now future plans for this car include a mini-me swap (including the p28). Would it be smarter now and in the long run to just get the ecu now, do a OBD1 conversion get the ECU socketed/chipped/datalogging capable (by projekteg) and learn uberdata? If so do I need to swap out any sensors other than the O2? If the car will eventually have a mini-me swap what do I do with the VTEC stuff on the ECU until then? Until the mini-me swap I just need a non-VTEC OBD1 distrubutor, right? Is this a good idea and am I missing anything? Please help.

P.S. projekteg PM me about doing business O0

I am having deja-vu, I feel like every time I read one of your posts it is all about a damn soap opera. YOU HAVE TOLD US THIS STORY ABOUT YOUR GF AND HER WAYWARD LOVER LIKE 10 TIMES DUDE. Send projekteg your money and be done with it. :P

Yea, I know, but every time I talk about the car without telling the story, someone always asks "what happened to the car?" so I just decided to start with telling what is up.

Buy the ECU from Kevin (or Will ;) ) and run Uberdata. You will be happier and just fix the wiring and thow the afc on Eghey.

if you run a p28 w/o a vtec head it'll probably have a cel all the time ;) if your gonna do all the work to convert to obd-1 and run a chipped p28 why not just do the vtec head swap at the same time? what does it cost another $200?

Plans have changed. I'm going to just chip the OBD0 for now, then next fall/winter I will be doing the mini-me swap so that is when I will need the p28 chipped.

Not my car, not my decision, but why do you say that?
