which engine management is better to go with?

i have a B18c1 to drop in my crx. and i plan on turboing it soon. i can get my ecu(P72) chipped. to with stand up to 10lbs of boost. for $150!

now i wanted to go with either zdyne or hondata. but this guy that'll do the chip. says this is just as good as those setup's. for a hell of alot cheaper!! but the only thing is that i can't program it myself. unless i have an eprom burner or something!?! or whatever!?!
is this true?

sorry for the NOOB question. but i'm a retard when it comes to turbo's and engine management!!!
any help would be great!
thanks

Read the engine management FAQ and check out uberdata. :)

You already have the ecu and he is charging you $150 just to chip it? OUCH!
I guess if he is wideband tuning it for you that is reasonable, but otherwise ::)
you can get your own chip burner, chips and the equipment to socket your ecu for less than that probably. Especially if you get in on the eprommer group buy that is going on now in FS...

I got mine chipped and a base map for $40 shipped. Take a look around. $150 is way too much.
