isnt mega squirt a stand alone deal, aka do away with the factory computer? what about the OBD ---- needed for inspection? am i mis understanding and its like the greddy emanage? i havent had much of a chance to read up on it but i think my next project will have megasquirt in it so i reckon i need to start reading...

thats what i thought. im not sure how it is everywhere else but at the inspection stations doesnt the standard obd2 diagnostic plug have to be used for them to inspect the car? i dont know if there is much of a way around inspection with an obd2 car in NC idk how it is where you live?

I spent a few days on differant hyundai forums and there was no usefull information at all to be found. *L* they had this thread were they sent a few ecu's to some guy that tunes mitsubishis and asked him if he would figure out how to chip their ecu's and then write a tuning program for them. *L* they bumped that thread for months waiting for the dude to show up with instructions and a program.
Ive been doing my homework on megasquirt it will work with the hyundai. We'll see how it holds up with proper fuel and ignition maps. And the guy I'm doing the kit for has the money to get what I need so I don't see a problem with doing it.

The guy is banned I think it's time you pull his tip out of your mouth. Evey one of your posts in this thread sounds like a **** poor attempt to sound like hotrex. You can come up with your own style. I'll help you keep posting in this thread and I'll give you advice.
