Default ECU and Uberdata

ok...i have a quick question.

i have a p75(acura integra ls 5spd) ecu and i am going to be converting my integra into an ls/vtec turbo. when i swap out my ecu should i put the p72(92-95 integra gsr 5spd) ecu so that it can control the the vtec and then i can chip that for my turbo(i am going to be chipping it with uberdata. or can i just use my p75 ecu and chip it for turbo and vtec?

is the only difference in the p75 ecu is that it has a vtec controller in it? is it pretty much the same as a p72 ecu just without the vtec controller? thanks in advance

the only thing they have in common is that they are OBD1

a P72 has circuitry for VTEC, knock and IABs. I'm not sure if the P75 ECUs are easily converted to VTEC either.

Best bet is to use the p72 if you have it.

well i am going to buy either or. because i have a p75 right now, and if i did, i would buy a used p75 ecu and chip that and then swap them out. but does anyone know if an obd1 p72 ecu would fit into an obd1 p75 port

so then i should get a gsr ecu (p72) and chip that, so i can use the chip for the turbo, and then the ecu for the vtec head i will be putting on?

Yes a P72 would be your best bet right now. You can control Vtec using it and run uberdata for your boost needs. Even if you don't have a Vtec head on there you can still run the P72 and just disable the Knock sensor and Vtec sensors.
