Ecu trouble "update"

hello this is my from post so be gentle. ill give you a little backround as of what im doing. as of right now im tech school for the US Air Force and im training to be a aircract structual maintainer, being in school i live in the dorms a looooooong way away form home. I have only a few tools and a big ass parking lot. what im doing is ganna boost my 95 teal civic that i got for a steal. i have all the parts in my closet and what im trying to do is install small things first then on a weekend add all the goodies under the hood. I have a lc-1, ostrich, datalog hardware for tuning, i havent ever used any of it but i do read alot and am pretty confident using them. From the start its not looking so good, did my homework and only got a little information about how i wanted to start. the first thing i did was chip my ECU and left the J1 jumper out thinking it was still ganna run the stock map, well it didnt and now im stuck. I couldnt really find out to much about it but what i did find said if the J1 wasnt in there then it would run like normal. If thats true then i must have messed something up when i chipped it, yea i did it in my room, but it looks fine i dont have a problem soildering iv done it alot back in my R/C car days. So i dont really know what to do, its driving my nuts and i would like to get my car back up and running. thanks for the help.

Alright now my car wont start and i cant figure out why. i found out that the main relay isnt powering up the fuel pump and i jumped the power to the fuel pump wire and the pump turned on so i konw that works. i know the main relay works. im guessing that the ecu shorted somehow? or what? im lost guys help me out, any and all ideals would be greatly appreciated.
