Default ecu question for 95 integra ls/vtec

i have a ecu from my other car that was ls/vtec it had factory setup just head swap and usual bolt ons. the only thing that gives it away is it does look like maybe diff than factory and i dont have knock sensor on that car and i never had cel on for that. so my question is i have other car and built ls block with 9.2 to 1 forged cp slugs factory bore and forged tuner toy rods and was going to do ls/vtec for my other teggy with stock head possibly. the head needs to be rebuilt but im low on cash so i was thinking stock rebuild, i want to build up but low on cash and i know i would need to tune, etc. so i thought maybe my ecu from other car with stock head and that bottom end would that be ok since compression should be same. it shouldnt really be different power and performance wise. sorry if im confusing. right now i have two broke down teggys and it sucks. the ecu from other car sat in it while it had standing water though how do i test it to make sure its ok? it looks ok. im trying to play catchup after 3 years in pen.
thanks for help

The only way to test is after the car is completely assembled plug it in and start it up. YOu won't hurt anything at idle, if it idles good go drive it easy and see how it runs. Then run it normal and pull the plugs and read them, if you don't know how to read plugs google it. You could also send it in to places like xenoncron and they can probably test it.
