ecu question

okay.. so im sick and tired of not having enough money to swap in my z6 cuz i dont have enough money to buy a p28.... so what im wondering is.. can i just swap in the z6, into my 95 civ dx hatch.. and run it like that, without vtec, until i get the money for the p28.. would there be anything special i would have to do to make this work? thanks for the info

Re:ecu question

It will work but you wont have vtec. You can always just hook vtec up to a toggle switch but thats freakin ghetto.

Re:ecu question

i picked up a virgin p28 on H-T for like $90...

if you dont have $90, dont start swapping ---- until you do

Re:ecu question

search pgmfi.org, you can convert your p06 or p05 to a p28. i've done 2, one worked and one didn't, there's a lot of controversy on what components to use, but i guess it can be done a couple of ways :-\

Re:ecu question

yes, you can run the z6 fine.
you can get an rpm activated switch to engage the vtec.
if you not sure about converting the ecu to vtec, you could still chip it for better fuel maps
