Does that have a locking mechanism like the OBDII? I had to pull up the white plastic block in the middle and everything came right out.

it has a little flap holding in each bank of pins, I have that lifted out of the way. I did the big one with such ease I thought I must be doing something wrong with the little ones.

I just got a razor blade and cut out 2 of the pins I wasn't using and put them in the spaces I needed.

It looks like they would be pretty easy to get out! The OBDII defintly has the white thing, once you lift it out of the way you almost need someone to push which one you need out while your getting it out!! What a bitch!! i couldnt give up, i needed a car bad!!!

I use sewing needles, not the pins you get with folded oxford buttondown shirts, but the beefy kind for stiching. Hopefully this will help you.

However, I'm an obd0 kind of guy, not familiar with obd1 plugs, yet...

Let me know if this works out for you.

a razor blade worked just find, and I found it in my garage so it was free. I tried safety pins and I'd imagine they're the same as sewing needles. if I have to get any more out I'll check out electronics stores for the tool, but there's no fry's around here.
