hey all
just wondering what sort of solvent you chippers use before desoldering and socketing your ecus?
i tried on another ecu and just made a goopy mess...although i did get the capacitors out.

just get the soldering iron really hot and use a solder suckerm works a treat, no mess

 

brake parts cleaner from you local autoparts store

 

most ofi ts just flux so when tehy toss the board through the wave solder machine they dont cote the entire board with solder, only the parts that need to be done lol
