Default ECU ID's

ok, well, i got my socket in my ecu and the jumpers for the ecucontrol... but in the process of pulling my old chip, i broke off a leg. so i need to get a new chip. i was looking at the ones on email, and they are listed for a PM6-A09, but mines a PM6-L09, anyone know the differences in these?

Eh? The chip you've removed and replaced with the socket is a UV eraseable Eprom...equivalent to the Amtel 27C256 chip. Unless you already have the UV chip erasing equipment, you should replace it with an EEProm (electrically eraseable), Amtel 29C256 or compatible chip. These can be erased and re-programmed over and over again by your EEProm burner, and work just fine.

Check out http://www.moates.net, I think they're like $5 each (get a couple).

Hope this helps, -Z
