tunerpro/RT for GM vehicles ($35 for RT)
tunercat for GM vehicles (~$100) promgrammer for GM (specifically the 7749 ECU) ($15 registration) toyotas use a processor that doesn't use any form of external memory. techtom et al make a daughterboard that adapts the processor in the ECU to use an external 27c memory chip, but they don't sell the rom editors for them. i'd LOVE to get my hands on one of them though, it's really just a matter of picking apart the code in the mod chip and finding the tables and applying those addresses to a programmable editor like tunerpro. i'd rather use the stock toyota ECU on my MR2, but at this point i'm working to adapt the GM 7749 to it. it only needs a 4 tooth trigger (i have a spare distributor that's gonna get ground up) and most of the sensor inputs seem compatible. the SyTy boys even have code for the 7749 to use a 3 bar map sensor. that's all i can think of... |
