Default eCtune/ostrich and borrowing the ostrich for crome from time to time

***Cliff notes at bottom***

Ok, I appologize if this is a dumb question, but I am getting ready to buy eCtune and an ostrich. I also want to be able to pull the ostrich out every now and then to be able to tune another car on crome. I thought I remembered somewhere that eCtune will only work with the one ostrich. I am just currious if I will be able to save my tuen, pull the ostrich and use it for a quick crome tunning session, then drop my ectune map back on it for my car, or will I need another ostrich.

***cliff notes***
I use ectune in my car
I borrow the ostrich to tune another car
I put the ostrich back in my car and reload the map
will it work?

I'm not trying to use ectune on more then one car, I just feel like it is a waste of a good ostrich if I can't tune any other cars using crome with it, and then go back and Use it the way I payed for it on mine. Meh, still getting it, just currious.

-Save your Ectune .cal
-Reflash the firmware version on your Ostrich back to normal so that it will work w/ CROME again.
-After tuning the other car Reflash the Ostrich to the ectune specific firmware. Reload your .cal

I've done this before when I only had one Ostrich. I didnt have any problems, just a little more time consuming.

Sweet. Thanks for the help guys. I dont tuen all the time, but I do have a CRX I am building that I will probably just run on crome for now and was hoping I would be able to do this.

side note, Leed, when you going to have some time to come down to Port Orchard to tune my new beast?

emulator > Ostrich info > reset (unlocks ostrich to use crome)

when you want to go back to ectune, plug the ostrich back in and go to the same menu and click on "set vendor" and it will lock back to ectune.
