dyno numbers??

just had my car dyno and i got 165.2hp at 10lbs but some cylinder 1 code 9 cyp keeps popping up would that cause the motor to stay in limp mode or not let the hondata tune right?

The motor:
D16Z6
greddy kit at 10lbs
arp head studs
skunk2 titanium springs an retainers
skunk2 cam gear an intake manifold
zex stage 2 cam
no name front mount(covers whole front)
3 bar map
inline pro 370cc injectors
inline 2mm headgasket
3inch thermal exhaust
2.25in-2.50in-3.00in downpipe

Any input would be usefull!!!

Re: dyno numbers??

code 9 isnt going to make the car make such poor #'s. Fix the code but you have other issues

Re: dyno numbers??

It could be that dinky TD04 that Greddy uses..

Re: dyno numbers??

greddy = overpriced ripoff..try a new turbo!

as for code 9, its TDC sensor (top dead center). you MUST check your timing....you may make lower #'s because of it

Cant be injectors just installed inline 370cc injectors

going to buy a new dizzy and have Mark Brauning of Brauning Motorsports tune it again

I think your tuner is the problem. I've been hearing bad things about him lately.

exactly...

There's been some issues where the customers' cars have left the shop in worse shape that in the beginning. I'd check out Matt Shue w/ shuetuning. I hear he's damn good. He's in Richmond.

Re: dyno numbers??

Yeah i tryed him but he is so busy right know..my boy lives near him and said he is booked

Mark installed a 3 bar map sensor and installed my injectors and took out my fmu and tryed to tune my car with a code 9 and had the car on the dyno for like 3 hours ------- with the hondata and 1 to install everything......and his price after all that was cheaper than a 1 hour tune at inline pro and most shops!

he helped me out maybe you guys had bad experiences?
