Does Hondata have to be tuned by a shop?

Default Does Hondata have to be tuned by a shop?

I was wondering if Hondata have to be tuned by a professional? Or can i tuned it myself?

You can tune it yourself.. if you have thier ROMeditor program. Normally this comes with the 4b.

It's cake if you have the corret hardware and software.

I'm sorry.. I must be misunderstanding you.

This is the second post I have seen you say "f1". What is "f1"?

As far as tuning, yes. If you are mathmatically inclined, and are able to comprehend basic scientific theories, then it's cake.

As far as the software is concerned, it doesnt get any easier with RomEditor, or TurboEdit for that matter

It all boils down to making changes on the ignition and fuel maps. Hondata supplies many base/stock tunes to view so you can get an idea of how much timing each engine likes, and the 'typical' setup.
Tuning isnt smoke and mirrors like some would like you to believe. Go for it.
