Default Does the ECU code matter?

ok, i just picked up a 94 GSR with a USDM ITR motor in it. car runs pretty good, but vtec doesnt seem to feel right, and i dont know if it has a rev limit. well obviously it had a chipped ecu in it front some "erics racing" with a phone number on it. im sure its just some bullshit type ebay chip. anways, my problem is that "erics racing" removed all the stamps from my ECU telling what it is (p72/p28/p06, ect.). i want to put a crome pro ITR map on it with launch control, and lowered vtec engagement, does it matter what ecu i have? and will any of you guys send me a chip with what i need on it? i know this is a noob question, but i just kinda need to know asap. i dont wanna do damage to this expensive motor with a crappy chip.

as long as it looks like the auto or manual side, you will be fine. put your CROME chip in...

i was running a ITR motor on a P05 CX ECU...it just needs to be chipped right

Stock OBD2 ITR Bin can be had on the PGMFI Wiki in the ROM Dump area.

Crome can open this said OBD2 file too

Replied to your PM Brett, should hopefully be up in your area next week tuning too
