Distributor Question

I have a turbo'd d16z6 and i just had a sensor go out in my distributor. I'm gonna have to replace the whole distributor, my question is should i go with a stock one or upgrade to an aftermarket disbributor. Does anyone have an aftermarket one? if so, any noticeable differences when you put it in. Thanks for any help

Re:Distributor Question

Aftermarket ones are usually just rebuilt factory ones.

I'd just get a rebuilt one, or replace the ignitor/coil or whatever failed inside of your distributor.

Re:Distributor Question

well the aftermarket one i was lookin at has all brand new parts and on my old one, which was a rebuilt one, the top dead center sensor went out on it, so i don't really wanna go with another rebuilt one

Re:Distributor Question

Just get a rebuilt one from Checker or Autozone or some ----; they give you a lifetime warranty. If it ever goes out they just give you a new one.
