I have it, its awesome, especially its programmable, so you can connect a buzzer when temp reaches up to a point it sets up the alert. Id recommand this over regular gauge type.

That's pretty cool... I might be picking one up and grafting it into my CRX dash somewhere this summer.

What did you expect?

I hate to say it, but they're right.

What was their reasons for saying this? Is the display cheap or dim or hard to view at angles or something? Is the response of the supplied thermocouple slow?

i ca'nt look at the link here but remember sample/refresh rate is very important!! you dont' want to know the egt from 5 seconds ago.

Re: Digital EGT Thermometeron ebay... .anyone used it?

well i asked and this is what i got

The meter sampling is 3 times per second. The response time is 0.3-0.4 second. The thereotical response time (of the sensor 90% rise) is about 5-8 seconds. However, this is the fastest sensor on the market. The response time is limited by the size of the sensor wire used. Smaller wire will heat up faster but will last shorter. The industry standard is using 0.7-1.2 mm diameter wire. Smaller than that will will need to change the sensor frequently.

so what the hell... i just wish they had them in a 52 mm gauge...
