I have fucked around with the chips in those ecu's before they are such a pain in the ass piece's of ----. it would almolst be worth it if the cars were any good. (corrado) This is very interesting though, you are actually using tuner pro?????? is it working and wtf...just wtf.

Did you make the defenition file for TP? very impressive. I did some OBD1 motronic tuning a few years ago and tried to help other do so but most of them were too stupid to do so.

It's data entry. You find women's work impressive?

Wait. huh? That looks like tunerpro on the top of the page. Is that definition file for a digifant ecu? ???

I guess I was just saying that I was impressed if you came up with that definition file on your own. Thats all I guess.

If you have a Moates Ostrich it's a LOT easier than ECU flashing; you sacrifice 10-30 minutes to get the ECU out and the gear hooked up, but your ability to make instantaneous and seamless changes while the car is operating more than makes up for the setup time as well as the subjective tuning experience - instead of waiting you just simply tune. A vehicle you flash - you have to flash - can take a stupid amount of time whereas something equipped with an Ostrich is stupid easy and takes under a minute unless you have to fool with mechanical aspects like adjusting the TB... which you still have to do with a flash vehicle.

what i more meant was without the ability to hook up a device like you are describing is you are basically stuck with two options. 1) buy a chip, and hope that it works for your engine, which i have found most of the time they are close, but if you stray from what the chip tuners put out, you are SOL or 2) bring it to a place that has the ability to do what you are talking about, which for vw's is very few and far between! i believe there is 2 or 3 chip tuners in the US, and they are all on the east coast.

I definitely need to do some more research on this, as there would be a huge advantage to having this device working here in my area, i already have huge network of guys running this setup on their cars looking for just this type of thing!
