My "High performance honda builders handbook" told me that "maximum cylinder pressure is 12-14 degrees after top dead center." 
It was published in 1996 and has many refferances to the fastest honda at the time: 11.43@128 GSR/Turbo/Nos.

Ya, I read that book..
Turbo, Nitrous, and a 1.8 GSR in a stripped down hatch and all it pulled was a mid 11? Interesting..
I think they need to take thier own advice from Volume #2.. Suspension tuning.
